For four years Nikolette has been preparing for her role as Queen of Alloria, all because of a blood oath that was sworn between her parents and the King. Now twenty, Nikolette is finally of age to marry, and the King does not intend to wait any longer. But when the King pushes things too far and threatens a life Nikolette cannot bear to live, she does the only thing left for her to do.

She flees.

On the run from the ruthless king, Nikolette must search for a way to break the blood oath her parents swore years ago before she is caught and returned to a life of cruelty. But things prove to be more complicated when powers she never expected begin to emerge; powers strong enough to rule countries.

Now Nikolette must struggle to keep a low profile or risk catching the eye of the King's alluring huntsman. But the more Nikolette gets to know Ashar, the safer she begins to feel. Can she trust the man who was sent to track her down to help her escape from a life of brutality?

"I can" "Good, what about laundry and cleaning?" I nodded. "Fuck Angel, you're like the perfect woman and you still want me to be your friend" He joked and found myself laughing. "Because I am the perfect housewife?" I asked arching an eyebrow. "No, because you are the perfect combination of smart, beautiful, and skillful." I blushed at that and I wanted to look away but one of his hands stopped me and turned my face towards him. "Get used to hearing compliments because you're going to hear them often in the future. Now, about my offer..." He gave me an expectant look. I thought for a while. I still wasn't sure it was a good idea but I liked working at the shop and still wanted to work there for a little while. "Alright, let's do it," I said. "Now? Here? Damn Angel, first the fiancé thing, and now this. For someone inexperienced, you sure move fast" He joked and I laughed. *Warning ⚠️* Strong language, triggering topics such as body shaming, depression...

Her Dawning Empire: The Prophecy

91 parts Complete

How hard can it be to fulfil a prophecy? That is, while having to work with a chiselled, righteous soldier who sees you merely as his duty and a silver-eyed, sarcastic demi-god that takes any chance to belittle you. I doubt it would be that hard... right? ************** Normal. No-one was more familiar with that word than Hanna. With a part-time job as a waitress at a run-down cafe and trying to complete her studies while slaving away after her neglecting parents, Hanna had begun to believe that life was just an endless droll of misery. It was too bad that normal wasn't written in Hanna's fate. Her whole world was turned upside down when a scruffy man appeared in the cafe she worked at. Not knowing who he is or where he came from, he had simply given her a message on a slip of paper and left just as quickly as he had come. That slip of paper changed everything. Tossed into Aaru- an unknown world, Hanna is forced to come to terms with who she actually is and the purpose of her very existence, unfolding the secrets of her previously unknown powers. Not without help, of course. By her side- a dark enticing God and dashing noble warrior to guide her path. Hanna must defeat the evil lurking in the ancient lands of Aaru as the prophecy had foretold. But, will the evil be too much to overcome? Or, will her newfound relationships present as an obstacle?
