She gasped in shock and salt water filled her lungs; she started coughing, but there was no air, no up or down, no light, only cold water.
And the waves pulled her under.

There is nothing convenient about ending up in a different world. You do not conveniently appear near civilisation, you do not conveniently speak the language, nor do you necessarily understand the customs, you are not a soulmate, you are not a "Chosen One"... You were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nevertheless, you will need to live with the consequences and try to recover what is lost.
