Calia Lancaster has always known that if you want to stand out, you can't be like everybody else. And if there's one thing everybody knows about her, it's that she's possibly the only breathing female in the world who doesn't fall head over heels for rising boy band Star Struck. Every day since she could remember, she had to suffer from hearing about Star Struck from both her sister and best friend Emily, so much that she soon was able to not only learn their names, but despise their group. So when Calia's 18th birthday comes, Emily decides to take them on a road trip starting from California to Washington to New York. Yes, that means going to all Star Struck's performances in those states. But a day before leaving, she'd met a cute boy who albeit, was hard to shake off, even after their short conversation ended and her road trip began. It's only with her luck did it have to be Luke Avery, one of the singer's of Star Struck. But when a shocking realization reminds Calia what the price of fame really is, it may be the end of their budding romance and their hearts.

Don't read this. Unless of course, you have a strange interest for stories than involve a shy, awkward teenage girl who made it big in the music industry. Then be my guest and continue reading. Just like several other newly-discovered artists, I was found on the internet. I sing. I write songs. I play guitar. So how am I worthy of stardom? Honestly, I don't think I am. You know who's worthy of stardom? This new musician named Spencer Caldwell. He's everything I'm not. And he's far better-suited for a hectic life of touring and publicity. We're different. And yet it appears to me that were going down this road together. Book 1 of the "Stars Are Born" Trilogy.
