"The titular character, Evie Hansen, is a high school senior with severe social anxiety, which inhibits her ability to connect with other people and make friends. After the death of one of her classmates, she fabricates a lie that inadvertently brings her closer to the classmate's family, while also allowing her to gain her own sense of purpose."

Based on the original Broadway score and script, featuring a female version of Evan and Connor, and a male version of Zoe to shake things up.
