Peter Wilson is your average Californian teen. He likes music and swimming just as much as the next guy. But the one thing he doesn't like, he can't get away from. When his mom and stepdad drag him to Eureka, Missouri, a small town outside of St.Louis, he has to learn to live away from the shore and his best friend Mckinsey. Mckinsey and Peter continue to talk as Peter starts up school in the Midwest. He makes a few friends, a few enemies, and even a girl who he couldn't live without. Everything seems wonderful until one unexpected event leaves Peter facing another challenge...
