It killed me to do it but I couldn't have her spoiling my plan; part demon, part shadow hunter children. 
Her eyes turned black and started melting down her face, her lips turned blood red and dagger-sharp horns pierced through the roof of her skin. Just for a moment, she looked like a true demon, before dropping dead to the ground and disintegrating into a pile of ash that blew away in the autumn wind. I watched them dance around in the midnight black sky until they were out of sight, then picked up my two children and headed towards my open portal...
