(Y/N) is a detective for the Detroit Police Department. She had been partnered with Lt Hank Anderson for a few years now and she considers him as a father figure. Soon, the duo then suddenly become a trio when Cyberlife sends an android, Connor, to help the two with cases about deviants. As time passes, (y/n) begins to fall for Connor but she knows that since he is an android; he would never reciprocate those feelings back to her. Unbeknownst to her, Connor does start to feel something everytime he is around her but he doesn't understand it. As the rise of deviants grows, Connor and (y/n) must decide what side they serve....side with the deviants to free the androids and let them have equal rights or side with humans and take down all deviants.Complete

*Follows the storyline of Detroit: Become Human* You've been working at Detroit City Police Department for a few years, being in the police force had been you're dream job since you were a child. Currently, you investigated human crimes. Recently, you've been given the task of investigating cases involving deviant androids. The sudden change from investigating humans to androids is going to be tough to get used to, but you knew you could handle it. They also decided to partner you up with Hank Anderson, which surprised you considering he hated androids. You had nothing against androids, unlike you're partner, Hank. You had no reason to hate them, they had never done anything to wrong you. Most of them are actually quite nice, not counting the deviants. Hank had always been like a father to you, and like any other human he would easily get upset and angered, sometimes even lashing out on you. You knew that he never meant any of the harsh words, so you stuck by his side. When you were both assigned to the same investigation, you had both decided to go to the bar to celebrate. Y/n Anderson is her name. Charming and overall a friendly personality, she's the embodiment of the phrase "doing great". Or at least that's what she wants the world to think. The death of her brother changed her life and it had been turned upside down. Her mother left, her father developed a drinking problem and her relationship with either of them became non-existent. She tries pulling her life together but with the sudden surge of deviants among androids she finds herself in the middle of the mess. Another change is coming and this time, it all started with a simple sentence. "Detective Anderson, my name is Connor. I'm the android sent by Cyberlife." You were never supposed to exist. An RK700. An earlier model meant to do Connor's job, but scrapped before you ever got the chance to leave the assembly line. Deemed a failure and tossed in the dump. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
