Life After You

Melody used to believe in true love and happy endings. She dreamed of becoming a famous singer and of marrying her best friend's brother. That all changed in a blink of an eye, all her great plans and dreams went down the drain. Now she's taking everything one day at a time. Wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat. Most days she only gets out of bed with the aid of her music, that's until she meets her new roommate Adam. He's nothing like the once 'love her life', and yet she finds herself drawn to him all the same. He brings excitement and understanding to her life, and though he won't talk about himself she can see the pain behind his laugh it's the same pain in her eyes.

Adam used to believe everything happened for a reason, that good things happened to good people, and you got whatever you deserved. He doesn't believe that anymore, his new roommates didn't deserve what they got, the beautiful girl with hazel eyes didn't deserve her hurt, and he knew he didn't deserve the cards he'd been dealt. Now he's determined to live every day to the fullest take the good with the bad take every day as they come. He has only two rules #1. Say yes to everything and #2. Don't fall in love...until he meets Melody. He knows this can only end one way... with her being hurt . Yet he doesn't think he can stay away, not when she looks at him with such a sad smile. Adam will have to make a choice: end things now and experience a little pain? Or prolong the inevitable...heartbreak?
