Ira is the slave, who had never wanted to serve another man again. Rhoden is the prince, who never wanted to be tied to a woman. Rhoden's father, the king, is sick of all the pesky Queens trying to get promises for their daughters. However, he doesn't want to force his son into an unhappy marriage. So Ira, a pretty girl accused of a criminal act, is his solution. Take her out of the dungeons, dress her up at the parties and call her a wife. A pretty thing like that couldn't really be dangerous. Kingdom of flame and kingdom of ice. Constantly clashing, never letting up. Except for when the one thing crosses their paths. One of ice and flame. A "special one" they say. One that gets locked away and left to be destroyed by not just the others, but by themselves. This is a story of one of those people. But not one that's been locked up. One that escaped. One who's surviving. But the world is misleading at every turn. This is more than a war for power or control. It's a war for trust, equality, and most of all, freedom.
