Sarah was 'Fae Touched', and by the Laws of the Underground, she was considered to be an adult with the passing of her 17th Birthday.
Sarah had the scent of the Goblin Kingdom from constantly hanging out with her friends, and the goblins, although she didn't have Jareth's personal scent, nor was she marked by him, so they considered her 'fair game'.
On the night of her 17th Birthday, Sarah is suddenly surrounded by Fae males, trying to claim her. Sarah calls her friends and the goblins for help, but it isn't enough, they convince her to call for the Goblin King, who comes to her rescue.
Jareth marks her and informs Sarah that she needs to keep both his scent and his mark, fresh upon her, for her safety.
What does the future hold for Sarah Williams?
