The Smell of Apples

This isn't a love story. In real life, the boy doesn't fall for the girl like the girl falls for the boy. Life isn't all apple pies and kisses in the rain, though they are greatly appreciated. In real life the boy may run away to be with the girl, but that doesn't last forever. Plastic rings and giant pink dolphin balloons eventually get lost and deflate and lose their meaning. And no matter how many times you see it in those classic romance movies, the girl never makes it to the airport on time. Like I said, this isn't a love story, but sometimes, the ride to the end is better than anything you could watch in one of those stupid chick flicks.
