Keith Kogane, son of Krolia Kogane, is a Southside Galra and when Krolia would retire, he swore to lead on. Making sure the rest of the Galra would follow suit, even having to fix the bad blood between him and Lotor.

Alfor, Governor of Altea, father to Allura and Lance.

Lance McClain, son of Governor Alfor, is a Northside Lion and hoped to be the perfect son that his father expects him to be. Goes to Altea High School and is popular with all, along with Allura. He wants to make the Northside and Southside accept their differences and come together, yet he doesn't know how.

When the Southside High School closes down, the Galra are transferred to Altea High School and causes the Northsiders to be on their tails. Keith and Lance soon cross paths, Lance hoping to befriend the boy while Keith hates Northsiders and tries to ignore him. When the tension boils between Keith and Lotor, the Northsider stands by his side in the crossfire and Keith swore to protect him from there.
