The Bird

Wyle Calfbie was a high-schooler and she was dating a ravishingly handsome boy named James. However, he wasn't a perfect guy; he didn't have the best temper, drank a little too much, smoked even more so, had a few dodgy 'friends' and some other unpleasant things about him. Despite his evident flaws, she was convinced she loved him along with all of his bits and pieces.

After all, they had a history, and we all love the taste of familiarity... even when it does us more harm than good.

But sometimes, no matter how much you lie to yourself and everyone else, the truth eventually creeps up on you and there's no escaping it.

Wylie has a secret. It got out once, and she didn't want it to get out again. If it did, there was no going back. She'll have to face the truth of who she is.

Or, more accurately, who she loves.
