It was supposed to be a small hangout with everyone. Until it goes horribly wrong.
Just a two-shot prequel to Hybrid's Retribution. It is not necessary to read this before reading Hybrid's Retribution, but it is an exciting read and builds up some of the events that may happen.

You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.

(Y/N) left years ago because of her parents. They never liked you, it was always Astrid Astrid Astrid. She was your twin. So, incase you didn't catch on, Your name is (Y/N) Hofferson. You were tired of it always being her so you left. If that doesn't make sense why your parents didn't like you, lets just say you were a disgrace to the Hofferson name. Yea not good when your name is known for being strong. You only had one friend, Hiccup, soo you were sure it wouldn't affect a lot of people. You all were never thought to be friends. You never looked alike. You had no similarities. When you left, sadly you were found on the ship and was thrown of at an island. Hey at least they didn't throw you in water am I right. Anyways, once you got too the island you soon ran into a beautiful black scaled dragon, but it wasn't a regular dragon, it could change colors, sizes, and has fire breath to heal. Pretty cool right, well that's not nearly as cool as it being the offspring of a night fury and a mood dragon. Its known as a Color Fury. Your dragons name is (D/n). One day, you and (D/n) left your 'home' and flew off to find a village. With only a homemade satchel, a homemade book of dragons, a journal, and a sketch book, (y/n) and (d/n) took off into the night to arrive on Berk the next morning. A bad storm comes and you are knocked off (d/n) and fall to the ground unconscious. And that ,my little Terrible Terrors, is where our story starts.Complete

For twelve years of his life, he was forced to live with Viggo who works with a group of Outcasts all of which serve a much greater power. Viggo hated the child and took him only to get revenge on Stoick the Vast. He abused the boy, beating him almost to death multiple times, marking him with what he called ownership. Now, he's eighteen years old whose desperate to live his life. With so many people after him, his father forces Hiccup to stay on Berk until he finds a man whom he refuses to talk about. Hiccup begins to suffer from night terrors that make him want to stay along with battling his own mental condition. Things go south again when an unexpected traitor hands Hiccup over to the ones who want to destroy him mentally and physically. Meanwhile back at Berk, Stoick was furious rampaging through his house looking over numerous different maps. He was desperate to find his son. So desperate he would do anything to get him back. I tried to reach the spark that was burning inside of you, not knowing if it would bring warmth or cold. How do you find love without finding hate when they shelter in the same spot, while the world is turned upside down. You can't win if you never shoot your shot. I remember dad telling me these words when I was little, well, littler. Time and time again they proved to be true, so I'll reach out for you, Emil. This story is respectful to its source material, only a few tweaks have been made as you may have expected with the title. It takes place after the third movie. It's partially a romance but also a big part adventure like the original series. The romance isn't finished, adventure arc 1 is and arc 2 is ongoing.Complete
