These two meet through a friend and both are amazed by eachother. As Elijah continuously trys to get Serena to open up or let down the walls she's built over the years he learns tragic things from her past that she knows no one can forgive her for.
She refuses and refuses Elijah constantly knowing what would happen if she let him in her mind, her body, her heart, her soul; that over time everything will fall, he will find out the real her and leave that quick. A meer snap of the fingers after he finds out.
Her past, her present, and her future still all depend on the decisons she made, descions that she regrets but can't take back, decisons that she wants to forget yet, they all come back to bite you in the ass.
