Carter Petterson doesn't enjoy being around people. Probably because she can hear everybody's thoughts. She doesn't tell anybody. They'd put her under micrscopes, trying to figure out what makes her special. When a new boy named Oliver comes to town, Carter's world turns upside down. She knew that a boy might be the end of her, but not in the way that Oliver does.
