The first wizarding war ended with Voldemort being victorious. It was discovered the "Dark Lord" never had a problem with muggles and muggleborns and that this was simply propaganda to have more people join the war. Prime minister Tom Riddle has to pass a law stating that muggle borns will marry pure bloods and the pairs will be picked by the parents of the children. When the law is enacted all children found with magic are taken into buildings and meet their fiancee's. How will Hermione Jean Granger take it when she is paired with Draco Lucious Malfoy?
*this book starts with both at age 10- before going to Hogwarts*

What can be worse than knowing that someone else is deciding whom you are getting married to. I kept aside the letter from the department of marriage law enforcement. There was another page which read: Decree for the marriage law. Note: The newly wed couple has to follow these decrees in order to complete the marriage law. After the war, the magical population has decreased and the ministry of magic has decided to bring in a law enforcement of marriage law. In which the dept of marriage law enforcement will select the partners for them. The age groups will be from 18 to 40 years old. I. There is a name of the person with this letter who have been selected and deemed as a perfect partner for you. The said person is also notified about the same. II. The pair in question has to get married in 15 days from receiving the letter. III. The newly wed bride is expected to get pregnant in a year after the marriage is consummated. IV. The couple has been prohibited from using any contraception.
