Permilla Agneir has never considered her life calm. Both of her parents work for the Queen of England. Her mother comes from a long line of successful monster hunters and her father comes from a long line of scientists who catalog monsters.  That along with the fact shes been an outcast in society for as long as she can remember. However when Permilla stumbles upon a dead body, she knows her life is taking a huge turn.
When a letter comes from her parents employers for a conference hat could save the fate of London, Permilla knows this is her chance to prove to her protective mother that she has a place in their world. Doing her father's work.
She has waited for this chance to prove to her mother that she excels. But to do so she has to survive the monsters that lurk in the shadows, her parents and the infuriatingly beautiful Inspector that seems to be at every corner.
She wants to make this her life work. But can she?

I know this because I have seen this beast. Been face to face with it, battled toe to toe with this creature, fighting for what was left of my life, and I was losing! - - - - - - - - "Watch out!"
