An elemental is a unique kind of human being who is born with supernatural abilities. When the elemental world starts to crumble they need someone to help save them out of the darkness that they have entered. Flash forward to many years later when the final action takes place for that savior to be born. 
Meet Raven Madison. 
Raven isn't an ordinary girl. From the second she was born she was given a power that could literally save or destroy the world. Due to unfortunate events of her past, her life wasn't the greatest. Right before she was adopted at age ten, she lost all her memories. After the adoption life seemed as normal as possible, besides a few fractured memories of her forgotten past. At the age of seventeen, she now goes by Rae and her only worries are trying to please her parents while also trying to live life the way she wants, forget these recurring nightmares, and survive life at her new school. 
At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. But in this new school with these new kids and friends, her past is starting to come back and because of it, she has to deal with new problems while also trying to figure out who she really is and the truth behind those fractured memories.

Can be read as a stand-alone with some slight cliff hangers that connect it to the second book which takes place two months after this book. There will be the same and new characters but will have new problems that will play out between the second and third books.
