Falling Through the Cracks

Lane watched those he loved, with every part of his heart, have their lives taken away. As their bodies fell limp, his wolf raged. Ever since that day, he's taken every measure he could think of to keep werewolves away. He has masked his scent, moved to a farm surrounded with human neighbors, and has dropped contact with anyone he knew to be a werewolf. He was a lone wolf and lived happily so. Then comes a rogue with a strong scent. Her every touch leaves the grass on his front lawn smelling like her. With an angered wolf, he threatens to end her life if she doesn't stay away. And, it works... until it doesn't.

The creatures came at the darkest hour of the night. They attacked, slaughtered and took. That night, they took so much from Aria. Her screams didn't cease for hours and even when they did, her tears couldn't stop falling. When she meets Lane, all she can remember is what the creatures, the pack wolves, did to her. Her only instinct is to run and hide.

Turns out, the Moon Goddess had another fate in mind for them.
