"We were all just waiting. Silently waiting."
Austin was never ready for life. It came too fast. Next thing you knew, you were dead. Everyone was just living. And dying. It was mundane. It was a cycle. So, naturally, why wouldn't suicide be an answer? Ida hated life. Life sucked. Nothing ever went right, and there was no point of being there if everyone was so cruel.
Life ticked away at these two. Until one day, they meet on a phone company called DHS. Now, the cogs of fate slowly began to turn at these two, and Ida decides to take her friend, Juliet, to go meet Austin, and his best friend Cliff. Things are out of their control, and they realize it takes the powers of others to discover their dreams and potential. They also discover just how much others can change you. A small creeping question forms: "How far would you go to protect a friend?" The newly formed group finds things they've never heard of before: Love. Friendship. Home. And the realize, that things aren't always as they seem, and evil and death can still creep up on you. Especially when you feel things are finally going right. They'll learn that it only takes so much to be driven to the edge.

I don't like the way he told me he needed to care for me. I felt like an obligation, a responsibility that he is carrying and carrying leads to getting tired and when people gets tired, they give up. I don't want them to give up on me. But they will, so it's good not to make them care for me in the first place. "I never needed anyone. I stopped needing anyone before, why start now?" I uttered the words again. Why? There is nothing to fight for. No mama. No papa. No sister to love me. No one. So why would I waste my life and the time of others to fix what is already broken - and someone who doesn't want to be fixed? If I may add. Maybe I gave up. No, scratch that. Memory of ME
No matter how absurd this story may seem, please remember that it is TRUE. It happened in real life. The fatal accident, not made up; the girl who had to ingratiate others to fit in, not made up; the rich, narcissistic girl who demanded compliment every day, not made up; the hostile girl who suffered through unimaginable pain, not made up. It looks fake, yes, but coincidence did bring these girls together, and Ella Cass, the author, is one of them. Which one of the girls? I'll leave you to guess. Skye was just an ordinary human. One with an unfortunate life. Her mother was killed in an armed robbery when she was barely a year old. Her father turned to alcohol and smoking to hide his pain. As the years went he began to abuse her and was eventually murdered as well by a burgler. She was sent to Wammy's House. As the only girl there, it was hard for her but she made a few friends and was very close with another boy. She stood out easily because of her white hair and small figure but it was mostly her eyes. She wasn't born with her white hair, it turned white from the torture and stress her father put her through. Her eyes were different. She was born with large, blood red eyes. Of course no one knew that she hadn't been born with white hair, not even the boy she was basically dating, except a boy little older than her named Lawliet. He was like a brother to her. Lawliet was given a caretaker named Watari and Skye, one named Yamato. She lived her life as normal as she could and climbed the ranks as a detective; even surpassing L, though she didn't know who he actually was. As it's well knows, shinigami liked to gamble to entertain themselves. The king himself gambled his own life and power on her and a few years before she went into Wammy's. The king bet his that she wouldn't risk her life to save a stranger and used his death note to put her in a situation that she could save a child's life by risking her own or continue walking and not give them a second glance. She saved the child and gained his death note, the shinigami eyes, healing and self-healing, the power to bring back to dead, and knowing whenever someone has been killed using a death note. She had not to try draw attention to herself, since others couldn't see the shinigami she talked to. As the shinigami queen it was hard to be normal. She traveled for cases and decided to dye her hair inky purple when she was in America. She returned to Japan to go to school and observe the Kira case.مكتمِلة

The experiment.
They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing.
