When Jack comes back from war, traumatized of what he has seen and heard and who he has lost on the way. He smiles to see the house he shares with the person that means the most to him in the world and who stole his heart the first time she came through the school doors when they were kids Nicole, he finds her crying in the living room and Jack's worst nightmare becomes a reality and he realises that love is the true battlefield.

Nicole's troubles started the night of her 10 year high school reunion.
