Ever notice the little things in life where maybe a bottle blew over but there was no wind? How you might of tripped but there was no explanation as to why? This girl didn't. She was just trying to stay hidden, or unnoticed. She liked the silence- found it comforting. She read- a lot. Kept up with her schoolwork. Belonged to a normal, loving family. Nothing special about her. Or so she thought. They were around her all along and she hadn't even a second glance towards the simple things, like the bottle or occasional fall. People, not ordinary people but human in many if not most ways so yes, people. Not a slight wind. Not a tiny root, rock or anything of the sort. It had been people. How you may ask? Simple- magic. Not -pull-a-rabbit-out-of-the-hat magic, but magic nonetheless. Wondrous, unbelievable magic. And all of a sudden, you see a world you didn't know existed right before you. It could be something strange... ___________ "You're not real," I whisper. "Oh, but I am." He answered, matching my tone. - Or something scary... ___________ "You're a ghost who murders anyone you disagree with." Garth said, his voice showing no hint of any emotion. "Everybody has a hobby." Sullivan responded, a horrible glint in his eyes as the words left his lips. "But then again, if what you said was true; you'd be dead already." - Or even something beautiful... ____________ "That isn't possible." I shake my head, smiling softly. His eyes twinkled, and as they were wise, I knew they were also filled with wonder. "You'd be surprised my dear," - But it's still magic. ---- The story is ongoing. :) © All rights reserved.

Do paranormal things, witches and magic exist? There are gifts that are waiting to be discovered. The mythical power is just waiting beyond the deepest darkest tunnel of the unknown. Only the brave learns to test the waters amidst the labyrinth of its knotted mystery. PLEASE, NO PLAGIARISM. (~Created July 6, 2018:Finished August 5, 2018~) Being engrossed in studying his current case detained him from leaving at once until he forgot the time. He never mentioned to Hera that he's going home after two decades. Only his youngest child knows of his trip back home. Whether he believes in curse or not. It's his 45th birthday tomorrow and he must be home to keep his promise to his mother. His family had never forsaken him, he did. He'd been ignoring their summons since he turned his back from them. Perhaps it's time to grant their plea. He closes his office and walks to the elevator. "Good evening, Artemis." The man in a black jacket greets him. Artemis smiles at the stranger. "Do I know you?" The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. He must get into his car before his sight totally leaves him. He must warn his family. " I must save Athena!"
