accidents happen (ON HOLD)
"You chose him. You stood in front of me and flaunted your relationship in front of my eyes." I move to grasp his arm, but he flinches away from me. Our eyes meet, and though I see indifference in his, I feel a stinging sense of hatred.
"I wanted you. I made that very clear, and you wanted me; as much as you wanna play pretend and act unbothered, you wanted me."
I take a step back, putting space between us. " That's not fair-" he steps closer. " Isn't it? You show off your love for him; you act like you're my friend and act as if you're blind to how I look at you. You act as if we never happened."
"No," I gasp out, "we never happened." "
"We didn't? Maybe nothing physical happened, but tell me you never felt anything; tell me we are nothing more than friends." I want to speak the words, turn and leave, and never look his way again, but I don't. I stand there frozen.
He nods, "All you need to do is say the word, and I'll forget it all. I'll turn and leave and never speak like this again." He stares at me, his eyes pleading with me to hear his words and let him go. "I can't."
The words barely leave my mouth before his lips are on mine, and I'm pressed against the wall.
