The Gates of Hell are closed, but the cost was heavy. The group is struggling to recover; Hali lost her best friend; Sam was the one who closed the gates; Dean lost the one he loved; Cas let her go alone. But just because they're hurting, doesn't mean the threats will stop. A new kind of danger approaches them... one they never thought they would have to face. They'll learn how the rest of the world sees them and have to live through the consequences. But what can you say? Shit happens.
