He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?

Jane, a small, fearless girl, who had been abandoned by her parents at the age of six, took up the role of protector for the children who had also been left behind. She protects the younger ones from the cruel Matron who rules the orphanage with her cruel cane and even crueler hands. One night a fire starts, killing the Matron and leaving the children with nothing. Jane takes charge at age 12, leading "her lost ones" as she calls them, and they set sail, naming her Captain Hook for her daring grappling hook rescue. No longer a girl, the pirate legend has grown over the years, as has the merchants pouches of gold. They continue to plunder, finding paradise, when they decide to sneak into a noble's ball. There she meets Lord Peter Hawthorne, they banter, dueling with their words, sparking a sizzling tension and new romance between them. But how can a noble lord and pirate queen find a way to be together, when their lives are worlds apart? Find out in my new story: The Lord's Darling Pirate Queen - A Peter pan/Captain Hook retelling. Also short chapters ahead, but still I hope you give it a try! Also this is a historical fiction, romance book, but there will be no smut, and nothing more than a kiss at the end, so if you have a problem with this, please read something else. Please, if you plan on reading and commenting, don't make hurtful, rude, or insulting comments about my work, I will try to respond to comments in a timely manor, so feel free to say something if you have anything kind to say. THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN THE GOOD AND THE BAD SERIES. IT IS NOT REQUIRED THAT YOU READ THE FIRST ONE BUT I RECOMMEND THAT YOU SHOULD. *** "I'm not going to make you that girl." he tells me rubbing my back. "I'm not making you some play toy Reece. You're more than that. We're more than that. I can't promise to change over night or completely but I can promise to try." Those are really all the words I need to hear from him. That's he's willing to try. "I love you." I murmur into his shirt. "I love you too, babe. We're going to be okay." "Yeah," I agree nodding. "I know." ** * Caprice Hunters-Valentine, the daughter of Bronx and Damien Hunters-Valentine, is known as the queen bee of the school. with her piercing blue eye and nappy attitude. No one would dare cross her path. She left the dance school at age nine and transferred to a prep school and ever since, things were never the same. Caprice owns her school, High and Academy like a queen rules a kingdom. with her parents basically funding the school, everyone has no choice but to bow down to her every beg and command. of course, every queen needs their king, right? Hudson Kingston plays that role in her life. No one dares tries to double cross, Reece. But what happens when Liam McCormick, her rivalry, decides Ms. Prom Queen needs a wake-up call? Literally. After a class camping trip, everything goes south for the royals of Highland High and eventually, someone will be at the bottom.
