Stuck in a gated society where shapeshifters are look down upon, Grey, learns to cope with life as one. Red guards control everything they do inside the red axe society and place them inside the "cage whenever they are not on duty. As you may guess, red guards and shapeshifters don't get along well but Grey starts developing an attraction to Maxen, one of the best guards in the whole community. An unexpected explosen happens that makes a hole in the axe's wall letting all the uncontrollable shapshifters in. Well everyone is escaping Grey is unable to find Maxen so she goes back to find him, unsure if he's still ok or alive for that matter.
