When you see nowadays couples everywhere with their perfect look-a-like family wether without, with one or even two children you probably think at first: Such a cute family. They look so cute together. The girlfriend/wife looks so cute and pretty. The baby is such a sweety. But when you start playing with a little child of a completly strager you sometimes get sad because you know that you won't have such a perfect life as these familys. Well, it can all change when one of the parents go away or dies or such doesn't want to know anything about their past life because they can't handle the pressure of perfect family. I never knew that one walk to the park could change my whole life.

It wasn't a question but I answered anyway "Of course. They are family." "What if they don't feel the same way?" "Then that's understandable. They had their trust broken at a very early age by the people who were supposed to protect and love them. I have been very open with them and have told them several times that they are family to me now. I have also said that if they don't feel the same then that's okay. Either way it's my job to protect and love them" This story embodies the trope of Found Family. I originally wrote it as a comfort story for myself, but figured someone else might also need the same comfort I get from it.
