The Essence of Gods

5 parts Ongoing Mature

What would you do if you accidentally killed the deity who should have saved your homeland? Moira is the last hope of the people of Dun in the bizarre battle against a magical disease that is spreading. She has been chosen to awaken the sleeping deity Callios. Unfortunately, she kills the deity who was supposed to save her and her people from impending doom in self-defense. Moira must now find a way to replace the deity in time. In her search for new divine support, she comes across icy Andrast, who could supposedly give her access to a deity. Andrast, in turn, believes Moira is his only chance of finding his missing lover Isla. Against their will, they work together and become increasingly entangled in the conflict between gods and humans. Why are more and more deities disappearing? What's the story behind the new wonder drug 'Ambrosia'? And why do Moira and Andrast feel magnetically attracted to each other despite all their efforts?
