The first in a two book series, Everest follows the story of London Crawford, a 16 year old girl with frumpy clothes and crooked teeth, as she tries to save the world.



The year is 2042 and the world is a mess. Ten years have passed since ARC – a mysterious organisation with unknown origins – completed their stranglehold on the world. Now, with anything and everything that may contribute to global warming stolen away, it is a world where anyone should be glad to see the next sunrise. 

Everest, the former super-power, has fallen into ruin. Over the past decade they have lost more people to abduction and murder than they can survive. Yet there is still hope. Even with their friends and family stolen away by ARC, London and her comrades are given a chance to steal them back and save the world.

I have originally written this story for NaNoWriMo 2015, and even posted it under a different name and modified to be a fanfiction. I've decided now to publish it as it was originally intended to. Bobbi is an enthusiastic mountaineer who loves the outdoors more than anything. But just before she turns sixteen she decides to climb one of the most difficult mountains there is. The experience is a game changer and she returns home to her family where she has to deal with the aftermath of what happened on the mountain, as well as trying to fit into the high school world drama that is her life now. She is socially awkward and a bit of a freak, but at the same time everyone wants to know the new girl. She falls in love with the school's hottest guy, Sam, at least in her opinion, and to her surprise the feeling is mutual. They soon discover the real people they both keep from the outside world, realizing that opening up to someone can be both liberating but also make one vulnerable. Bobbi's world is turned upside down when life strikes again. The hardship she felt on the mountain is tenfold and Bobbi feels like drowning. Based on the true story of the mountaineering legend Andrew Comyne Irvine, or Sandy, the young 21-year-old Englishman who had a dream of summiting the tallest mountain in the world, and who aimed to do so with other mountaineering legend George Mallory. Whether they reached the summit or not is a mystery to this day. Sadly, they died on the mountain. Sandy's body hasn't been found while George's was found back in 1999. This story takes place right before Sandy leaves for Everest, and he is your average 1920's Oxford student. Most the events are based off of real events that happened with Sandy, as told in his biography called "Fearless on Everest" written by his great-niece Julie Summers. Rating Warning: some language, sexual content & sensuality (no sex scenes, but it is implied)

Kane went through something devastating, but had no one to go to. He pretended things were perfectly fine, but when he heard Everest was going away for the summer, he found his way of escaping, and asked his soccer teammate, if he could come. Both running away from something, not wanting to look back, all they wanted was to forget the past and never return, but they knew sooner or a later, they had to, so they decided to make the most of it. { This book is cliché and extremely dramatic, if you don't like that, don't read it. }
