After the rather swift discovery that Rose Quartz was actually Pink Diamond Sapphire, an excellent seer and Ruby's beloved, ran off to some unknown place on Earth. They haven't had any luck finding her and days are starting to turn into weeks, and Ruby is getting more and more stressed. Eventually they get a lead, from Ronaldo of all people, rumors of a strange creature wandering the woods of Goldstone Park; strange ice storms and campers vanishing never to be seen again. Locals claim it to be the work of a wendigo, a demon, while the gems believe it to be Sapphire and the locals are mearly making a great fuss to get attention. What they find in those woods, is not the Sapphire that they know and love.

Star Sapphire is the only sapphire of her kind. Her ranking is higher than an Agate! All star gems are second to the Diamonds. But each of them still had a Diamond they were made for. Star Sapphire was made for Pink Diamond. She was made on Homeworld and was always treated like a superior. She was very loyal to Pink Diamond and the other Diamonds. She had future vision that was 99% correct! She also had fire and ice powers. (Like Todoroki from BNHA) And her weapon was a bow. Like Opals. She knew about Rose Quartz but never questioned her. She always saw Rose doing her work when she came by, so she didn't question it. She didn't look into the future to find out about her Diamonds shattering. She never knew until.. One day, Sapphire was walking up to her Diamonds palanquin when she saw.. The Rose Quartz. She drew her rebel blade and... *POOF* Her gem was no longer there... there were pieces of her where she had dissipated her form. She stared at Rose in shock. She didn't really hate Rose but she dislikes her for now. She didn't REALLY agree with her Diamond but.. That doesn't mean she deserved to be shattered! Once the Diamonds directed there attack... and Star ran as fast as she could to one of the Kindergarden holes and hid. But someone didn't make it.... Her friend.. Star Ruby. Phantom Quartz were among the rarest and most intelligent of Homeworld's elites. handcrafted by White Diamond herself as her personal tacticians, advisors, and enforcers. Unlike other Quartz soldiers, they were not bred for brute strength but for superior strategy, logic, and precision. Each Phantom Quartz was unique, regarded as a treasured creation, a near-perfect fusion of power and intellect. But perfection is fragile. During the Gem War, when Homeworld saw no other option but to unleash the planet-wide blast, it meant sacrificing both Crystal Gems and their own forces. In one cataclysmic moment, nearly every Gem on Earth was presumed wiped from existence, including White Diamond's precious Phantom Quartz. But not all of them were lost. One Phantom Quartz remained, poofed before the corruption wave hit, trapped in a bubble by Rose Quartz for reasons unknown.
