Prepare for an AU that is original, that no one else has thought of.
In a large city known as gravity falls there is a Colosseum where your social status is based off of your ranking in the Colosseum. Dipper and Mabel pines are twin orphans who lost their parents to a house fire. As law dictates in Gravity Falls, if you're parents have died and no one accepts you all of your parents belongings are sacrificed to the god of Combat, Magic and Trickery known as Bill Cipher. Having lost everything the twins must fight in the arena, which is watched over by the two Lord's of the arena, Stanley and Stanford Pines.

Cipher is the "God" of the forest around Gravity Falls and it's his job to protect it and it's creatures. He does his job well until two young twins wonder into him home. He watches them at first and lets them live. The boy seems much more interested in all the weird things in the forest than the girl but other than that they looked harmless. Till a few days later Bill finds he's missing his journal, where he logs all his creatures and their actions. Panicked and pissed he reaches his whole forest and the whole town. Making the people fear him and the forest. But he had no luck finding his journal.
