A heartbreaking, romance set in the near future, a dystopian short story, after all the birds are dead, a tale similar in nature to the Handmaids Tale. 

The walking dead type feeling sets the reader off in a situation like Westworld in which Califonia has gone to the dogs.

The protagonist, a young hero who had a job at Disneyland before it was closed do to power brownouts takes his girl and a group of friends on horseback, down through a zombie-out Los Angeles and breaks in to the dead theme park.
