There had been bumps in the road in creating the ultimate lifeform in Project Shadow. The Biolizard was the first and failed product of this project and Shadow was the only successful product and thus became the ultimate lifeform.

However, the two were not the only products to be made out of this project.

Light is a failed product- another hedgehog, created before Shadow. The female hedgehog, despite her enhancements, could not harness the chaos energy the professor aimed for his ultimate lifeform to. 

When Shadow discovers her, his curiosity is the only thing keeping him from destroying her.

I originally made the story as a short story which was the first chapter of this story however I soon decided to make it have its own book as it is hard to make this into only 2 parts!
