Written through the author's experiences as a veteran of Afghanistan. 

The price of war is immense. It is not just the physical, but the mental battle that each individual faces. In many conflicts, more soldier's take their own lives than fall in battle.

Sed is a young boy who dreams of fighting for the glorious kingdom of Imperium. But he soon finds out that war is much different to the stories that are told and the song's that minstrels sing, and that Imperium is not quite as virtuous as he once thought.
