In the year 2185, a perfect world exists. Hunger and poverty have been eradicated and racism and sexism are things read of only in history books. Beauty has run it's course, and is no longer seen as a desirable trait... That is, unless you are an Avalon. Bred for their beauty, Avalons are the descendants of a race that was put under "observation" in year 2130, and closely controlled as of year 2150. They now reside in institutions called Respits where they are expected to do the bidding of the humans. The once sex and pleasure driven world has diminished into an organised and intellectual community in which pleasure is overrated as well as many other things. That is; until you visit a Respit when you come of age, and learn about a whole different world.

Living in a small town means there's not many surprises. You know everybody, have done everything, and nothing is new. Although some people like living in a quaint, peaceful town, others don't.
