" Doubt thou the stars are fire,
Doubt that the sun doth move,
Doubt truth to be a liar,
But never doubt I love "
When the four-day Thanksgiving weekend is over and school is back in session, Kennedy Flits is forced to return to what she likes to call Hell. Now, a new cute boy, who also happens to be her new neighbor, arrives to spice things up a little but. But, the biggest surprise comes when Kennedy walks in for her volunteer shift at the town's library that night, in the form of blonde hair and beautiful hazel eyes.
But, that's the thing. The last time a beautiful boy seemed the slightest bit interested in Kennedy, it didn't end so well. She's determined to go boyfriend-less for as long as possible, which is why she is so confused when she accepts her best friend's request; It's just because she knows him; he's not a mystery like Matthew, her neighbor, and that means this is okay. . . Right?
But, maybe not. Maybe it's not okay that Kennedy feels like she has to be with her best friend because she will do ANYTHING to avoid Matthew after he finds out about her most-recently-made-ex boyfriend. And maybe her best friend's intentions aren't totally pure.
Sometimes, the mystery is the better choice. Sometimes, it's better to walk through the fog blind, because, in the end, you can find a galaxy of stars.
