what if Christine chose the Phantom AKA Erik Destler, this is a Fanfic of the trials that they are going to face having a life together in New York City.

The Phantom endures an enormous amount of stress during the fire and from his heartbreak. The moment he is able to retreat to his hideaway in peace, he suffers a massive stroke leaving him incapable of speaking, eating, or moving. He had accepted that he was going to die where he had fallen. Fortunately for him, one of those ballet rats happened to be nosy after the fire. Amelie creeps down into the liar and hears Erik's moans. Though she is frightened, Amelie goes to aid him. Will Erik survive? If he does, what will become of their relationship?

What if the curtain never fell? What if that bullet had never killed Christine? Could it be too good to be true? Christine Daae wakes up on a pier surrounded by frightened faces. She recognizes no one. She is thrown back into her life with out being able to remember what it was. She is a mother? She was a wife? Who is it she feels, but never fears, always standing by her side? The Phantom must fight himself now. How can he help Christine to remember their love without showing her the monster he once was? And their son...He needs her back. His world, his light, his Angel will remember their story. He will write the songs of their other time brought to life. However, in order to save her he feels he must kidnap her. 17-year-old Christine Daae has basically been alone since her mother died. Her father rarely comes home at night and she doesn't associate with the friends she once had. Lonely and depressed, she treads through life hopelessly. Her loneliness is about to come to an end, though... The problem is, it's against her will. To be kidnapped and to have her freedom stolen isn't what Christine wants. But, can she really hate this masked man who has shown her nothing but kindness? And what will she do when she discovers Erik's true feelings for her? Can she forgive him? Can she love him, as he loves her?

In mere moments, Erik grasped Christine by the waist and pulled her under his protective dark cloak. There, pressed against his chest he moved into the shadows of the wings, Christine blinked at the sudden darkness, grasped Erik's firm arm around her waist with her hands, then struggled to see what was happening through the thick folds of his cloak. "Come out ghost!" A slurred voice called out. "I know you're there, and that pretty ballet rat too." This is a ROUGH DRAFT of my fanfiction of Phantom of the Opera.
