My life in ruins, this is where I'm at currently. I was living a lie, lying to people and most importantly to myself. You can act straight all you want, you can try to convince yourself that, but no matter how hard you try. The truth is always revealed. What did I do? Forgotten
Ever since I was 9 she was my bestfriend, Over time my feeling towards her grew and she meant everything to me even if she didn't know that. When I was 16 she graduated highschool and she focused her life on music and a year later she left for her first tour. I didn't know it at the time but it was then that we started to grow apart. A year later we were completely out of each other's lives. That year was the worst year of life at 19 I got into a very traumatic incident losing someone important to me. It was then that I decided to give up on her and shut everyone out that I cared. 3 years later I was finally turning thing around to better myself but there she was standing in front of my door. She was asking me to forgive her, how can I forgive her if I can't even forgive myself. I had to suppress those emotions, my feeling towards her. She needs to know that I gave up on her, and she should've done the same. Her stubbornness got the better of me, I thought I could keep those emotions lock away but I couldn't. Now it's all catching up to me and it's all flooding way to quickly, I can't keep myself together. I'm hurting her for the things I've caused. "Have I ever told you the story of The Phoenix Girl?" My Grandfather asked. "No, you have not," I said. My Grandfather was like any other old man, but his mind was far from ordinary. All grandfathers are alike, each one tells you stories about wars or the good old days. But not my Grandfather. He was a storyteller, but his stories were always different. He would just come up with the stories, and they would be so enrapturing to me. It hooked me from the beginning until the moment I had to leave. But then one day, he told me a story that would change everything for me and my Father. This story called the Phoenix Girl. It's a story of a girl who goes through hardships and struggles in her everyday life. They punish her for things she has no control over, but then she faces it all. She is reborn from the ashes of the flames that had consumed her. She is stronger. But what if this isn't just some story that my grandpa came up with? What if something connected her to my family? Into the wild
Hurt, pain, doubt, insecurity, temporary happiness, fear, toxic relationships, anger, anxiety, issues, and chaos. They were the unwelcome passengers on my road trip of life. While being pregnant with my daughter Lea, I was in a really dark place and one day I met some random girl in college name Nicole, she sat next to me on the hallway floor. Her being there was making me tremble from the inside out. But it wasn't her, it was Jesus in her. The way she let Jesus take over her life, made everyone feel the presence of God. I started to sobbed and she hugged me (without knowing me) then I cried even harder. She said, "there's nothing you can do that will make God unlove you." To make the long story short, that day I surrender my life to Jesus and made a friend for life. I decided to make this 39 days bookish of writings because when life hit us hard we need a reminder of hope, joy, faith, love, and worth. "And do you want to know what happened to my sister. She was dragged from streets on her way back to home. She was drugged and was forcefully taken to God knows where. Not only she was raped brutally, she was beaten up . Hundreds of bruises and burn marks covered her whole body leaving the scars she had. She cried herself to sleep all night after that horrible night. You should have seen her. You know, you made me realise why she never told anyone. Why she never took action against it. To top it all, my sister was kidnapped and murdered. And you know what's heart breaking, she was dumped in a landfill like some trash. I still have nightmares seeing her lifeless body, with dried blood all over her face . Just imagine, an innocent girl with dreams and hopes. She always dreamt about getting a job and taking care of our parents rather than moving out. She had a very beautiful heart and a courageous soul. The way you said she committed suicide, I just wanted to rip you apart. She would never. Thinking all her dreams and wishes were completely shattered by their thirst for pleasure, breaks me. Not just her , hundreds and thousands of women and children are harassed, assaulted, molested and raped . How could people be so selfish and heartless.
