This story had nothing to do with the original story in the manga so Erwin is still alive, and has gone to the ocean yet hasn't gone to the basement. ( I know it doesnt make sense excuse my shitty timeline understanding ) They still are fighting titans blindly with no 'true' knowledge so it's like season one, but skipped ahead. Also the "Levi squad" isn't his old one it's the one that contains the 104th in case you get confused. So please don't hate me for writing this piece of angsty shit of a short story.
