JUST KEEP READING THE CHAPTERS GET BETTER I SWEAR!

~

Betty Cooper: Your perfect, blonde, beautiful, smart girl-next-door. Little do you know what is hidden beneath the makeup and collared shirts and sweaters. A longing.

Jughead Jones. Your emo, shady, beanie-wearing-cad from the wrong side of the tracks. But what hides beneath his walls and the drug ridden reputation of the Southside. A longing.

Longing what exactly? That's what we're all asking, aren't we? Guess you'll just have to read. (This is my first story on this platform. Well, my first fanfic AND published story tbh. Hope you enjoy!)

The Athlete, the Sweetheart, and the Cynic

8 parts Complete

In a taunting voice, Reggie added, "Gee, Betty, it must be hard having a crush on some loner who doesn't even like girls." Betty raised her eyebrows, wordlessly commanding him to leave. "Did you hear me, Goldilocks?" "Oh I heard you, I just don't care. Time for you to leave, Reggie, you're not getting anywhere with me." On the outside, Betty Cooper was the perfect girl. A straight A student, sweet and kind, a play-by-the-rules kind of girl. Archie Andrews was her next door neighbor and best friend, athletically inclined, and though somewhat lacking in intellect, he was sincere and devoted. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, and everyone couldn't help but believe that Archie and Betty, young though they were, would someday end up together. But in this group there was another friend, Jughead Jones, a cynical, sardonic aspiring writer. He didn't always feel like he fit it with Betty and Archie. But somehow, he felt like he belonged with them, though he couldn't place why.
