Natsu, a Fairy Tail wizard, finds a young blonde girl named Lucy. Natsu brings Lucy to Fairy Tail and helps her get in the guild.
Lucy goes on a lot of missions with Team Natsu. Until one day when she goes on a solo mission she doesn't come back. Team Natsu goes to look for her and finds her with something on her. They go to war, when they finish fighting the guild goes back to normal.
Natsu goes on a training journey and doesn't come back for years. Lucy has feeling for Natsu and so she cries waiting for him.
Lucy become suicidal, and tries to kill herself, but her friends keep saving her, she cuts herself, until one day, that day is her birthday she doesn't celebrate her birthday anymore since Natsu left.
On Lucy's birthday, she gets a present that she absolutely loves.
