My name is Iris, Iris Primrose Mellark. Not too long ago I found out about a thing called the Hunger Games, I was shocked to find out that my parents were a part of it but I can't blame them, my parents are awesome! My siblings don't really care about it, they find it cool that their mum and dad are famous but they mainly care about the fact they don't have to go in it. I on the other hand am nothing but curious, there is something more to it, something big that I haven't learnt yet, I mean there is only supposed to be one winner but both my parents came out of that arena, something had to happen and I'm going to find out, no matter the cost.
Join Iris on her journey of finding out that her parents went in the dreaded arena twice and her mum becoming the Mockingjay. What will she think of her parents when she does find out? Will she be glad that Mockingjay has done her job and her mums pin remain an object of the past, or will she want to continue her mum's legacy and place that pin on herself?

The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. These sisters were left alone in the care of Katniss when their parents give up on one another. Gale Hawthorne was the only son to survive of his mother and father's children. Gale had a good life being the only child and a young actor and singer. His family then adopts two young boys so Gale won't be so lonely. Finnick Odair, and Peeta Mellark. The time goes on and the boys are pop stars while Katniss is the babysitter as always, at age 21. At least she is graduated. She has to get Annie and Prim to school and keep them alive. While all they care about it the pop band, New Capitol. The band members Finnick Odair, Peeta Mellark, and Gale Hawthorne are all the young girls care about. They hardly realize what Katniss is doing. Yet all their lives will change when it all happens on the night of a concert...Complete

Diana is like Katniss and has her skills with a bow and arrow and hunting. She has her father's talent with a sword, painting, and baking. Finnick on the other hand is like his aunt Prim and grandmother. He likes to take care of people. The story starts with Diana as a seventeen-year-old on the day of the reaping of the 99th hunger games. The Mellarks have a track record for being in love with their district partner. Will it happen again with one of their kids. Also Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch don't have to be mentors. I don't own the characters of the original hunger games.
