Shiki is a small boy, transferred from Beijing, who's passion for basketball has long flickered out. He moves back home after attending a highly prestigious school for the athletically gifted. He ruled the Track and Field team, the Baseball team, the Swim team and even the soccer team, but the one he excelled at absolutly, was Basketball. With none to challenge him, his drive and motivation has faded away. What happens when Shiki moves back to Japan and attends a school by the name of Seirin? And what happens when a turn of events, causes him to join the Basketball team..... And meet a boy by the name of Kagami Taiga.
