Ladybug and Chat Noir have been a team for nearly three years. Although they're the best of friends, they still don't know the others' identity.
After his frequent visits, Chat makes Marinette a promise on her balcony one evening, "If you need me - no matter where you are - I'll always find you."
Will he be able to keep that promise when Marinette mysteriously goes missing that week?
Warning: this book is rated PG-13 for violence and such. I've tried to put some trigger warnings, but I doubt I've listed all the chapters I should.

Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place. And every time her 3 best friends had asked her, "What's wrong?" she would always say "I'm fine!" Only to keep them safe. Adrien didn't believe her fake facade and looked past her plastic smile, so he decided to visit her one evening after his patrol as Chat Noir with Ladybug. What would happen when the breaking civilian meets the unexpected alleyway cat? Will she open her heart to him? And how long will her mask hold up? 2nd book, a dedicated fanfic to miraculous!!!!!! I don't take credits to the characters, just the story. And this is 6 months after season 3 (Marinette is still 15, and Adrien is 16).
