As you may or may not know, you, Emily Miller, are chosen to be in the blood run. There are 4 vampires selected to be in the blood run and you are one of them. The town of Greensville has chosen 100 human to be in the blood run. The blood run is the bloody version of hide and seek.
Rules/How to play
How to play-
There are four vampires (including you) who are going to be the seekers in this game or hide and seek tag. The human will be the hiders. Once you find a human you give them a chance to start running. Humans are given a needle to inject into their skin which will make them the same speed as vampires but also they add the humans normal speed. Once they start running you go after them. If you catch a human you are to suck their blood. At least four humans must be killed per game. Only 4 humans are to remain till the last round. The last round will be taken place at night. Vampires are to take pills that get rid of their super hearing for a while.
Rules-
You have to eat the pills
You cannot drain all of the human's blood or you will be disqualified from the game. There will be a backup vampire for everyone if you drain all the blood
No cheating
You have to show up to the games no matter what

I'd say it is more on the forceful side, especially with the vampire-setting, and the vampire may act questionable and egocentric. Also, depression and I'd say a suicidal tendency do come up (briefly) because of these thoughtless interactions. And, uh, "Stockholm Syndrome" was mentioned, but also in the context of an overall enjoyable read. - Finished story. There are two sequels.
