Finally being deemed 'mentally stable', Astraea is free to leave the psychiatric hospital she's known as home for the past year. Leaving her safe haven is a big deal for her, and one she fully embraces. Moving in with her new foster parents moves her all the across the country to small town Dutchess, New York. Astraea makes friends quickly with a set of lively twins and sees that it may not be all bad.
But, of course, there's a boy. He's your typical outcast, no friends, avoided like the plague, but surprisingly attractive, being pushed away by even his own brother. This boy turns out to be her neighbor, and creative writing partner. Though, Astraea is intrigued by his immediate hatred for her.
Most people would back away and let him be, but Astraea is not most people, and she has a long, messy history to prove it.
