Cheri Rubian is a 12 year old small town girl who's grown up in Littleroot Town for her whole life, she doesn't ever want to leave and explore the rest of Hoenn due to her fear of seeing the outside world. Her mother wants her to see the rest of region like she previously did as a young girl so she decides to send her off on a Pokemon journey.
Cheri's obviously terrified of this idea and refuses to go. Her mother convinces her and Cheri reluctantly agrees so she can make her mother proud. Cheri goes to Professor Birch's lab and she finally receives her first pokemon which is the start her journey.
On the way of her journey, she meets strange yet unique people including two mysterious people who's goal is stop Team Magma and a strange trainer named Becky who seems to be part of Team Magma. Its up to Cheri and her pokemon team to defeat the fiery evil of Hoenn who's motives are unknown.
Well Cheri stop Team Magma? What pokemon will Cheri see and also will Cheri become a pokemon champion?
