Rewrite: A One Direction AU Love Story

Its been said that each person has one guardian angel watching over them while they are here on Earth. This isn't true. We all have guardians, but we have to share. Every guardian in Heaven looks over two people who are fated to be tied together by love. Once the couple falls in love the guardian is then released from their service as the couple travels down the road of life together. They are a matchmaker of sorts really.

There's just one problem. All humans have the power of free will. And sometimes free will is stronger than fate. So what is a guardian to do when free will rewrites the story that fate has laid out? And is there any way to overpower the two individuals you are trying to protect when they are pushing against fate?

Would it be so wrong to intervene with the help of their friends? Even at the risk of revealing a world humans should never have any knowledge of?
