17 year old Ella Williams has always been alone. Her mother was always working double shifts at the hospital and her father died when she was 5. One day, in grade 3, a new boy shows up at her school and befriends her. But while he becomes popular Ella is left behind. Now, at 17, Ella tries to get through high school without completely making a fool out of herself.
Then, Alexi, the honest to god, most popular boy, says that he can make her popular.
So she agrees. Now she's trying to conquer high school and become popular.
All while trying to keep her mother out of it.
And falling for Alexi.

We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy.
